Dr Cherukuri provides treatments for a variety of neurosurgical disorders including cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerves and is particularly interested in Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery including Pituitary tumours, Cerebrovascular surgery and Robotic spine surgery.

Dr Cherukuri commenced his international career in Neurosurgery by joining the Neurosurgery Residency Training Program at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore, India in 1987. He has worked extensively across the globe including in India, at Regional Neurosciences Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne UK, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit USA, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Centre, Shreveport USA, and Australia.

Dr Ravi Kumar V Cherukuri is an experienced neurosurgeon who has practiced in the Illawarra for the last 20 years. Dr Cherukuri is a Visiting Medical Officer, the Department of Neurosurgery at Wollongong Hospital and Wollongong Private Hospitals. He sees patients at Seaview Clinic in Wollongong Private Hospital and South Coast Orthopaedic Clinic in Nowra. He is a Clinical Associate Professor with the Graduate School of Medicine, University of Wollongong.

Dr Cherukuri is Head of Department of Neurosurgery at Wollongong Hospital and currently is the Director of Training for Neurosurgery Training Program at Wollongong Hospital.
